I have changed to Flex prepay. It is 4 weekly. OK fine.
But option to have auto top up is only as monthy as an option?

We are very sorry for the delayed response.
As My Flex plan is only valid for 28 days, automatic top up every 30 days would not work.
We are working to improve our automatic top up system so it reflects My Flex plan renewal dates.

Steve, I just got a response to my query to Vfone about my ATP not working - ever. I have it set up to automatically put $35 into my account from a CC whenever the figure drops below $5.00. This is carefully designed to get over the apparently unfixable problem noted above, where Vfone cannot arrange for an ATP cycle which matches your 28 day Flex plans.
The relevant bit of the Vfone response is below
'The auto-top up of below $5 will not kick-in if the credit balance reached below $5 due to:
- casual data
- plan renewal/add-ons
- buying add-ons
Main reason why it didn't work because your balance reached below $5 due to your My Flex plan renewed.'
So the system has been very carefully designed not to do what most of your Pre-Pay customers want - a simple top up in time to replenish the account in time for the next renewal. And, to put the cherry on top of the sundae, this may well live in the fine print someplace, but it's a long way from being spelled out to your new customers.
No, I don't want to get an SMS and renew manually. That can be particularly tricky in Europe.
Simple question: how do I set up an ATP which will renew my Flex account without my input? If any non-Ninja has solved the problem that Ninja's can't throw over their shoulders, I'd welcome their advice.

After this amount of time it seems vodafone are not trying very hard to resolve it.
A couple of options
1 Allow topup to match 28 day period.
2 Return to monthy cycle
or perhaps the mismatch is intentional?

Well no, it's not being ignored. We have since removed the scheduled Monthly date Auto Top Up product. And are working on better solutions for our customers.
