Hi,

Does anyone know of a small / pocket 3/4 G Router that's compatible with Vodafone USB 5150 4G Modem ?

I have a TP-Link TL-MR3020 and their are no drivers for it with the 5150 that I can find.

Thanks

Thanks Dylan

I solved it with the help of http://www.ofmodemsandmen.com/index.html where I found altenative an OpenWRT new firmware for the MR3020 router,. Refleshe dteh router with the OpenWRT image and it recognised the Huawei ? vodafone K5150 staright away and works like a dream now :-)

:-)

Hi there

I haven't tested it myself but have searched around, there's some good discussion on Whirlpool about that particular Vodem and combination. These two discussions might be useful but they do also discuss alternate firmwares so it gets very technical very quickly!

It seems the K5150 works well with the TP-MR3420, the slightly later version of the one you have.

Hope that helps.

Great to hear you've found a good solution and have been able to extend the life of the router. Smiley Happy

Hi there,

I am currently looking into a similar set up.

Are you saying that the TP-Link TL-MR3420 does not work with the K5150 Vodem?

Thanks

It seems to not work with the standard firmware. Anjobanjo found that it worked with third party firmware. Your milage may vary and other suitable disclaimers.
