I get different answers from every company I ask about internet access. I was after Vodafone Wireless Broadband or Vodafone Rural Broadband.
Curious, I felt, since the property commands an unobstructed line-of-sight to just about every transmitter in Auckland, but importantly--very importantly I should think--it is four houses down from two unhappily large Vodafone transmitters one of which, at 2100MHz should furnish our property with 4G internet. Mobile phones have all bars and an excellent clear signal.
I'm missing something. Tell me what it is, please.
https://beta.gis.geek.nz shows the transmitters:
Transmitter 1: 900MHz
Bandwidth: 944.800 <> 960.000 = 45MHz

Ultimate Broadband looks interesting to me.
After no result from Vodafone--and I have nothing against the firm, working for Vodafone myslef some years ago--I signed up with some outfit called Flick. The modem has gone astray in the post though so I'm still paying Vodafone to update my data package every couple of days. This is quite a homecoming for me after sixteen years in Asia with unlimited data!
I'm a bit miffed that I missed your message about Ultimate Broadband before getting Flick involved. Let me give them a go and see how it performs...I suspect though that ADSL is just not going to work for us. I am apalled by the terrible value that Sky offers and will be joining a couple of streaming services instead. My wife and I both work on the internet from home in the evenings too so sporadically some fairly heavy use is possible.
I appreciate your message--very helpful. Thank you.
