Hello, I plugged my 500GB Hard Drive into the USB port but I cannot see it on the panel at 192.168.1.1

Yes, it was working yesterday when I was using my previous Vodafone Router...

Finally got hold of one.  Where can I find a proper user manual for it ?  Some of things are just not obvious.  For instance the parental control.

The page implies that the entries you make block access at the time given.  This is opposite to what I would expect.  And it doesnt seem to work either way.  Additionally it blocks access to a totally different mac.

Did you turn on hard drive sharing in the router menu? It is off by default

The Parental Control works as it says. It blocks a device and a set time (start / finish).

It works for me.

There is no full user manual for the Ultra Hub. All the pages are intuituve so I dont see a need for one.

I'm having a few issues with my Huawei hg659 since I've upgraded from VDSL to fibre.
Constantly throughout the evening the WiFi is either dropping or lagging considerably. Work around at the moment which works is to turn WiFi off and then on using my device and it comes back to life, or simply using my 3G data also works better mostly.

I queried about getting Ultra Hub when I re-signed but was told I wouldn't get one as my current modem should support fibre.

I've tried the following:
Renamed SSIDs
Had separate SSIDs for 2.4 & 5
Changed Passwords
Changed Channels
I don't connect over Ethernet so better WiFi connectivity is what I'm really wanting.

Maybe you dont need one.  But others may.  As mentioned, its pretty hit and miss.  The first time I tried it, it blocked a totally different mac.  Next time, it did not work.  The third time it blocked all accesss to everyone.  And the fourth time it worked and is still working.  I am too scared to add the rest of the kids.  Can't wait for an update to this bugware.

I looks to me that the Parental Control only applies to wired devises (LAN)

Is it possible to get a copy of the firmware development tools so I can extend the Parental Control to chromebooks (WiFi only)?

Many Thanks

Keith

It works on wired and wifi devices. I have it set up on both and it works.(firmware crf731)

I doubt you'll get tools to get into vodafone firmware.

Ours is staying in the box. With only 3 LAN connections, it's useless for our needs. We currently use all 4 of the LAN ports on our old hg659. This is a bit of a backward step on Vodafones part. Someone obviously didn't look at the spec.
