Here’s a compilation of the settings you might need to set up your email on your computer or phone or tablet. Lots of devices like smartphones will be able to automatically set up your email using just your email address and password. If that doesn’t work please check the settings below and post a new topic to Vodafone Community if we can help further.

 

Incoming email can be received using either POP or IMAP server types. By default POP will move the email from the email server to your computer. When using IMAP the email remains on the server and you can interact with it from multiple devices. Generally it’s good to use POP on the main computer you’ll store your email on and IMAP on secondary devices like smartphones.

Username

Your username is your full e-mail address

Password

Enter the password you have chosen for your Vodafone Mail account

Incoming server

pop.vodafone.co.nz / imap.vodafone.co.nz

Outgoing server

smtp.vodafone.co.nz

Port

POP 110, SMTP 25, IMAP 143

Authentication

Not required, unless you are using the account on a mobile device outside of the Vodafone network

 

@ihug.co.nz

Username

Your username, eg. If your full e-mail address is ‘john@vodafone.co.nz’ then your username will be ‘john’

Password

Enter the password you have chosen for your Vodafone Mail account

Incoming server

pop.ihug.co.nz / imap.ihug.co.nz

Outgoing server

smtp.ihug.co.nz

Port

POP 110, SMTP 25, IMAP 143

Authentication

Not required, unless you are using the account on a mobile device outside of the Vodafone network

 

@vodafone.net.nz

Username

Your full e-mail address (e.g. john@vodafone.net.nz)

 

Password

Enter the password you have chosen for your Vodafone Mail account

@clear.net.nz

Username

Your username, e.g. If your full e-mail address is ‘bill@clear.net.nz’ then your username will be ‘bill’

Password

Enter the password you have chosen for your ClearNet account

Account Type

POP3

Incoming server

pop.clear.net.nz / imap.clear.net.nz if you have the Mail+ product

Outgoing server

smtp.clear.net.nz

Port

POP 110, SMTP 25

Authentication

Not required, unless you are using the account on a mobile device outside of the Vodafone network

 

@paradise.net.nz

Username

Your username, e.g. If your full e-mail address is ‘rachel@paradise.net.nz’ then your username will be ‘rachel’

Password

Not sure

Account Type

POP3

Incoming server

pop3.paradise.net.nz

Outgoing server

smtp2.vodafone.net.nz

Port

POP 110, SMTP 25

Authentication

Not required, unless you are using the account on a mobile device outside of the Vodafone network

 

Other email providers

Username

Your full e-mail address (e.g. john@vodafone.net.nz)

Password

Enter the password you have chosen for your email account

Incoming server

Your email provider's email server, e.g. pop.xtra.co.nz)

Outgoing server

smtp.vodafone.co.nz

Port

POP 110, SMTP 25

Authentication

REQUIRED, please use your incoming mail server username/password to authenticate.
