And 20 minutes later it drops and modem needs to be rebooted.  Sigh.

Yep, I'm still getting multiple dropouts too. It's really really annoying.

 

Vodafone - when is this going to be fixed? Out of interest, my "Technicolor" branded cable modem (provided by vodafone) seems to run pretty hot. Is this normal?

Had the same problems.  Have taken Vodafone to Telecommunications complaints authority and Commerce Commission.  This is an endemic problem with their Fibre X service from what I can see and they know it.  It's time they got a kick up the backside to actually stop treating their customers like S**T and start fixing the huge problems people are having with this service.  I would also demand a refund from Vodafone for lack of a reliable internet service, they will have to provide you with a refund which they did for me when I demanded it. 

 

I used to be with Spark which had a very reliable Fibre internet service when I lived in Palmerston. I moved back to Wellington, and realised that Vodafone only had the Fibre X service in Wellington, which is actually not full fibre, it's a mixture of Fibre and cable.  It's rubbish compared to the full fibre service I had from SPARK.  Either way exercise your rights as a consumer and you might have your problem fixed if you're lucky... very lucky....

I'm down to complete drops or massive speed issues only occurring once a month.  Given we have a brief Internet outage most nights, I'm pretty sure Vodafone have 'fixed' the issue by remote rebooting something every night.

And the drops are back… for the last couple of weeks have been losing Internet once or twice a day.  Rebooting cable modem restores it.
