I have come home today to very high latency on my home broadband connection. Last night was fine.
im getting between 500 - 900 ms to any auckland speedtest site.
A game i play hosted in australia normally pings 63, but tonight it is around 800.
Pinging my default gateway is crazy - so anything else is going to be bad as that is my first hop.

The network services page shows no open problems with any broardband service.
I have just called vodafone support and we reset my modem as it was showing as no authentication received your end. After reconfiguring after the reset it is now showing authentication.
They have asked me to monitor for 24 hours now that authentication is showing correct, but this doesnt feel like an authentication issue. Now that it is authenticated why would service still be below par?
Solved! See solution

This issue should now be resolved. Please test your connections and advise. Thanks

I am in Auckland CBD and experiencing the same issue. My tracert and ping results are pretty much identical. Getting over 1000ms delay at the second hop and so on and so forth.
The support was very helpful as usual.
Please sort this out.

I called back about 30 minutes ago. They reset the connection on my line and i rebooted the modem again. No resolution yet. They tested the speed from their end to my unit and my results didnt match theirs.
Support then connected to my machine to run the speed test and several tracerts/pathpings which has now been escalated to the next line.

Same problem here, I'm also in the CBD and the latency is around 1000ms every time I test it.

I had the same issue last night (live in Grafton, Symonds street side) and spotted this post, good to see it wasn't only me.
Then I remembered seeing some Chorus guys doing some work on Symonds street at around 7pm on my home so figured that may have been the cause for the slow internet. Speeds back to normal today.

Things were ok after midnight when i did a speed test from my phone, and this morning which i linked in the previous post.
Just got home and things are the same as last night

Yep, same here.
I did a speedtest this morning at about 7am and one just now, speed is 3 times slower than what I usually get (5mbps vs 15 mbps).
Wonder if Vodafone will care to contribute to this thread, still no issues reported on the network services page so it seems to be localised to areas around Auckland CBD?

I live in CBD and had the same issue last night, 500-1000 ping.
It was fixed in the morning but now the lag is back again.
