E-mails no longer forwarding to Gmail Account

I set up  Gmail account prior to 30 November and mail sent to my @vodafone.co.nz addresses was being forwarded to my new Gmail address until today when forwarded mail stopped and the Gmail system began returning the following messages

 

7 December 2017 at 15:23            Authentication error.    Server returned error "Authentication failed."

 

7 December 2017 at 15:20            Authentication error.    Server returned error "Authentication failed."

 

7 December 2017 at 15:10            Authentication error.    Server returned error "Authentication failed."

 

7 December 2017 at 15:08            Authentication error.    Server returned error "Authentication failed."

 

7 December 2017 at 15:02            Authentication error.    Server returned error "Authentication failed."

Im getting this same problem, everything ok up until today. Please advise.

Any luck? The problem is persisting and seems to be causing an issue on Microsoft Outlook also.

Has anyone had a response regarding this issue from Vodafone?? 

Im currently unsure as to weather emails from @vodafone.co.nz are being forwarded as we were assured would be the case.

If anyone has a fix or received something direct please let me know.
