This is day 6 - still same issue.
Change me to 1gig!
I am on 30mb download and now it appears to be 100mb up.
Both fiber lines coming in showed excellent join numbers( dB loss was exceptionalyl low - )
pc is dual xeon hexacore 4gigs with 8xssd in raid0 ( approx 2gig read write speeds )
I am 126m from the exchange ( yes 126m fiber was blown thru to my house exactly! )
all other machines are not far of this spec - but have disconnected everything apart from my work box and some lappys for testing.
network is all cat 6 cable hooked up to gig switchs - but have just hooked this staight into the work box as said above.
1. what firmware should the HG659 VerB router have?
2. can someone contact provisioning to see if they can just quickly email the team to see if someone has encountered a new fiber install that shows the same problems ( 30mb down, but seems to be 100mb up - 200mb on wireless )
3. Is there any config on the router that houses info re: connection speed?
4. the person who actually fixes this will get a $100 cash- just call me on my number attached to this account to inform me you have just fixed it - i will test it - and if it is working as it should be i will pay you $100 immediatly

Apologies for the hassles you've had with your connection. I've just had a look at the account, and can confirm the connection is on 1Gbps plan. Can you please try factory resetting your modem by holding a pin down in the back of the modem (there should be a reset hole) for 20 seconds? Once there's a connection, run a speed test and see what speeds you get.
Regarding the firmware, our modems that are sent out usually have the latest firmware already.

Factory reset via button done
speed still the same
30mb down, 100 up on ethernet
30mb down, 10mb up on wifi ( weird how this dropped )
Will do a factory reset via login page and report back.

same results exactly.
And yes it was reset because the login info/wifi was reset.
That $100 is still up for grabs.
Someone just has to call chorus, and talk to someone who knows what they are doing there!

The modem "Should" be sent out ( mine didnt turn up, the chorus guy brought it )...with the new firmware.
Assumptions have to be removed from this story.
Do you know the version the firmware should be for a HG659 VerB modem?
