Clearnet email problem??

Have been noticing today that emails taking a long time to be recieved.

Had an emai sent to me at 8:50am and didnt arrive till 12:08pm ??

 

Have also tested sending and receiving emails fom my gmail and hotmail accounts and they take forever to arrive.

Some still havent ??

 

Have heard that theres a problem with the emails and they are working on it so emails might dribble through.

Nothing on the System Status site through

Yes there is an issue with Clearnet and Paradise customers receiving some emails delayed at the moment.

 

This issue has been identified as a high priority and is under investigation. Apologies for any inconveniences.

Ah okay...I have the same problem.  Kind of strange in a Murphy Law way that these events seem to happen at the most inconvienent time...

 

More of a concern, however, that it has taken Vodafone so long to identify and fix the problem.

I'm wondering if its got to do with the amount of spam thats been getting through.

Since April its been constant. It came right for a while then in the last two days i've been getting more spam through than whats been caught by the spam filters !

Seems others have had the same problem reading other posts.

Anyone still with this problem?  Seems it's been going for well over 24 hours and there is no solution at my end.  If I wasn't cynical, I would be thinking that Vodafone just wants to get rid of clearnet and paradise emails, so best way out is to 'frustrate' users into moving to a Vodafone address.  Can't see this delay being so long if it effected vodafone.co.nz emails.  Reality is we are not their prioirty now...

Still on going at 6:30am this morning !!

 

I'm like you - are they trying to push Clearnet and Paradise customers over to their Vodafone side ??

Or could this be a DDOS attack ??

Considering the amount of spam thats been getting through of late..makes me wonder !

Still going at 12 minutes past midnight on the 9th....now well over two days...all I get here are hollow promises like in one email I received (cut and pasted) "...I am confident this will be resolved very soon".  Now that email was sent some 24 hours ago so Vodafone has a very different definition to what classifies as 'very soon' than I do (and most of society, I would suspect).

 

If this was a real issue, we would get better explanation as to what the problem is - but we get nothing expect hollow promises.  Either this is a big security breach and Vodafone don't want to admit it (i.e. DDOS attack), or they are actually running down the service. Take your pick.

 

In any definition, this is beyond poor customer service.
