I too am a long time Clearnet customer and am stunnned that the amount of spam has gone from about 50 a day 2 months ago to 200 a day currently. I have previously contacted Vodafone who assure me they are "working hard" on the problem but it just seems to get worse. Come guys, get your act together and do some actual work!

Agreed with everything here!!

Vodafone seems to be really slacking with this spam..Its gotton out of control and all they say is "forward the spam to missedspam@clear.net.nz so we can update the spam filters"

 

Herad that (or read that) too many times.

 

Thing is they are probably trying to block this spam using the return path of the spam email which wont work as that always changes !!

 

They need to block using words or phrases from the body of the email or subject line.

 

I've purchased Mailwasher Pro and that works a treat !!

That checks against Spam companies like Spamhaus and Spamcop to check all incoming mail.

 

I'm going to lodge a complaint soon !

Then they have 6 weeks to sortn this **bleep** out then its to the Telecommunication Dispute Resolution Scheme to see if something can be done.

 

Completely Over Vodafone.

 

Hell even today the Clearnet email system is stuffed:

"Some Clearnet and Paradise customers may be experiencing some delays in sending and receiving emails. Our techs are looking into this and hope to have it fixed as soon as possible. We know how frustrating this is, and will keep you updated as things change. Thanks for your patience with us"

 

But heres the thing. The spam is still getting through to the Webmail Spam folder !!

I too am being inundated and have been for a month or so. What gives Vodafone? You're not making much progress. I'm about to bail.

I now have two problems with my clearnet webmail account.

 

1.  in the last 4 weeks there has been a sudden increase in spam levels.  When is this going to be fixed.

 

2. I am now not receiving my emails.  In the status screen it is reported as being a high priority problem.  It should be a severity one problem so the resources can be allocated to the problem.  A high priority problem is either a severity 3 or 2.

We have identified the issue, have put in a fix overnight and a further fix going in next week. You should see an improvement during the day and over the weekend. Apologies again for the inconvenience.

Apologies, should have been clearer. Fix for spam and also a fix for the recent delays in sending and receiving emails.
