Following the announcement of Vodafone closing its email services on 30 November 2017, I'm sure there will be questions. So please review the FAQs listed below and feel free to post any additional questions to this thread and I will get an answer for each of them.

Not received an email about forwarding your Vodafone email?
Please go into the webmail version of your service and check your spam folder - if you get your email through software on your computer, your local spam folder on your PC won't have received it.

WXC or Xnet have not been mentioned as part of the e-mail shut down. I have an xnet address but need to know if I can use it?
Will we receive a reduction in our internet charges as we will not be "Supporting" extra staff to help with e-mail issues.

Prices - no change.
Xnet etc not affected by this.

Interesting....... Vodafone swolled up XNET and are charging me an extra fee for this.
By the way, the Management of Vodafone in NZ have a "vodafone.com" address. Does this tell you something?

All staff have vodafone.com but quite a few, myself included, have.co.nz as well as paradise and clear.

OK, so I open a new outlook.com email address as per your instructions. I currently use Microsoft Outlook programme on my PC to receive and send emails. Do I still use Microsoft Outlook with the new outlook.com email address, i.e. enter the new email address where the old clear.net address used to be under the email accounts settings in the programme? Or is outlook.com a totaly new experience not using Microsoft Oulook? Thanks wilma

Yes that is correct but please allow a couple of days for the redirect to take effect.

I have received an email from VF to an email alias I didn't even know I had but I have not received an email from VF to my main email address (the original Paradise.net.nz email address). Nor have I received any emails from VF to the three other email addresses (aliases) that my family members regularly use.
Can I expect to receive emails from VF to these addresses too?
Will my main Paradise email adddress and all of the email aliases all continue to be forwarded to my new gmail address by VF after closure when someone sends an email to those addresses?

So are you going to continue using email for communications after 30 nov? And if so WHY? When email is not part of vodafone's code service? So is therefore not essential to runing the business.

Could you please explain why XNET are not affected, when others are?
