Hi, I concur. I bit the bullet years ago and got my own domain and vowed never to use an ISP address. I also advise all my customers to do the same.

The short of this is VF won't care once the email systems are down.
Best you get on to advising your contacts of the change.
Even if they do offer you a $10 for a re-direct, this is a complete rip off.
There are lots of different ways in setting up emails going forward, the best advise I can give is to get it down sooner than later and use a free provider or get your own domain name.

If the email service was part of the agreement/package you have then VF need to honor it. Take their email forwarding offer and setup a free email with gmail or outlook. I always advise my customers to never use an ISP email address.

You will find it cheaper to go to another email provider. If you have your own domain name, this in most cases is about NZ$20 per year to register. VF and other ISP's charge too much for a monthly email address.

@MikeHales - There's a critical issue with Clear / Paradise emails not forwarding most emails - emails from services like Facebook simply don't come through. It appears to be because the Clearnet servers have poorly configured SPF / DKIM records and GMail / Outlook are simply blocking them. What's the ETA on getting this resolved?

I am on the Paradise.net platform and have not as yet received the email to establish the forwarding of messages to our new email address. Have checked webmail and spam folders, but can not see it. Can this be sent or re-sent please?

Now so much spam being sent from paradise email to my Gmail that any emails from paradise email being treated as spam. Why couldn't Vodafone have just sorted the issue internally. Really hacked off.

I'm in my early 80tys so grapple a bit with some tech, but I try.
I have MS OUTLOOK 2010 program, so I thought I would see what MS have to offer with email accounts so have opened an OUTLOOK.COM address.
Before I go anyfurther I would like to know if all my address book will remain from the CLEAR account address Ive been using for years (before vodafone took over CLEAR).
Will my inbox and ourbox still remain???
