Ok, I've followed the instructions and accept that it may take hours, even days to import all my emails into Gmail. However, I would have expected it to have at least started the process by now. All it seems to be doing is importing any new emails I get addressed to my ihug address. These seem to be being redirected to Gmail and don't arrive in my Windows Live Mail at all. This is very strange.

I've tested it out by sending a message to myself at my ihug address. It never arrived in my my Window Live Mail, but was redirected to my Gmail address. Still no sign of any of my old emails being imported.

Sorry I have not received a notification or how to forward your email. Yet my daughter who uses one of my email addresses received hers.

As you can set up to 5 addresses she had one. Her email is now getting fowarded and got the email so where us my email forrward notifcation?

Its poor i had to find out your closing the email service and had to find out on the news?

So what happened to my email notifcations?

And if thats the case how can i get email forwarded without the email sent to me?

Very poor indeed. Hope i have not slipped under your radar?

Hi,

I've been a paradise customer for nearly 20 years and use paradise email on a regular basis.

As yet I have not received the email closure notice from Vodafone.

I do not like my emails being scanned and used for marketing purposes by an overseas company such as Google or Microsoft.

I there a New Zealand based email provider that you recomend?

Spark seems to have a good solution for their customers, could Vodafone do the same?

Vodafone have copped out, unlike Spark who after suffering similar problems have migrated their 800,000 email users to a NZ based email specialist without any disruption or changes. To quote them "we have made the investment instead of leaving customers to their own devices and having to fend for themselves". This was after they had canvassed their customers who told them a NZ based email platform was an essential service they expected from their broadband provider. Now we are going to get bombarded by adverts on an email service provider owned offshore which is inferior to what we have enjoyed unless you want to pay up to US$49.95 per year to upgrade to a premium service. Will Vodafone compensate their customers for all the hastle, inconvenience etc by reducing their yearly brodband/landline charges by about NZ$70.00. After all they are making huge savings by not having to maintain the service. C'mon Mike, how about putting this  to the "Powers that be" ?
