Hi, we have our domain hosted with vodafone for our business website - and this also gives us various business emails (via clearnet webmail - which we direct to outlook) with our domain name/business name. What does this mean for our business emails using our domain name?

Thanks,

I'm one of the people being affected by the Vodafone email closure. I already have a Gmail account so I shall use it instead. However, all my emails, and there is much important material as I have numerous emails relating to Family History, are stored on my computer in Windows Live Mail, which is the only program I've been using for many years. My question is how do I get all my mail from my numerous storage folders in Windows Live Mail imported into Gmail. I've watched the Vodafone video relating to importing mail, but it doesn't seem to refer to mail stored on a home computer. I am extremely concerned in case my emails should be lost.

@VCustomer

I will double check but should be no impact.

@waltonnz

If you import your emails from your vodafone email address, then you will have everything in gmail. If they're already downloaded to your machine then no impact.

Import details faq here.

Cheers

Sorry, I don't understand. My emails are not in Gmail. I haven't been using it - just set it up some time ago. My email address is ihug - vodafone took it over, but I retained the ihug address. My emails are stored only in one place - that is on my computer in Windows Live Mail. Thank you

@waltonnz

Apologies, I misunderstood.

So, if you import your ihug emails into gmail, you won't lose anything.

Interesting.......   Vodafone swolled up XNET and are charging me an extra fee for this.

By the way,  the Management of Vodafone in NZ have a "vodafone.com" address.  Does this tell you something?
