Vodafone need to update their RBI proposition.
Both are 4g where available.
I accept that unlimited is impractical on a the mobile network, but Vodafone to be at least match the market.

Just posting this in here also as it is relevant to the original thread Authors post.
I am an existing Vodafone customer with my home line, internet, and also an on account mobile. I am wanting to know why you can't offer me a competitive wireless rural broadband package that competes well with what several other company's are offering?
Currently you are offering 80gig of data for the same price your competitors are offering 120gig (Spark) or 170gig (Farmside). And apparently ( after having finally got thru to your "retention's" team) you are not able to offer any sweeteners to resolve this issue and retain customers like me who expect a competitive deal.
So that is my first and most urgent question. However, after having attempted to get answers for this via your phone support I now have a few other questions I'd really like answers for too. These are numbered 1 to 5 as follows:
1/ Why do I keep getting disconnected when I call either your sales line or your "rural broadband specialist" number? Three times this has happened this morning while listening to your on hold music (before I have even got to talk to one of your staff).
2/ Why is that when I persevere and do finally actually manage to get thru to one of your staff they are just about always not in the department that the number I called was supposed to be for?
3/ Why is it that when your staff try to put me thru to the correct department I just about always get put thru to the incorrect department or disconneted?
4/ Do you realize how ironic and bad it looks that a company that is supposed to specialize in communications apparently can't even get their own phone lines ( and staff) to operate correctly
5/ Why on earth would an existing customer stay with Vodafone in light of everything written above?
Please don't think I'm just trying to be smart or negative here. Because while you probably don't appreciate what I have written I am actually doing you a favour in taking the time to write and bring all this to your attention. And I'm genuinely looking for a reason to stay with Vodafone so that I don't have to go thru the hassles associated with changing my provider. But frankly (at this stage at least) I'm not seeing anything other than not having to change my email address. Please respond.

Don't forget Farmside. They are offering 120gig plus 50gig of additional off peak data (total 170gig) for the same price as vodafones 80gig. And just to clarify - this is wireless broadband, not the Farmside satelite product
Apparently Farmside are a vodafone reseller of this wireless RBI, and use the exact same vodafone towers etc. So there is no excuse for vodafone not being able to offer the same deal.

I rung vodafone today to ask when they are increasing their data caps.
They said they have a package in the pipeline.
I said I might switch to spark because I had been with vodafone for more than 2'years and my contract was up.
It was then I found out that a year ago when my old 3g modem was giving trouble and they up graded me to a new 4G modem they also signed me up to a new 24 month contract.
I was very annoyed because under my contract I was entitled to one new modem up grade.
And they were not installing the old 3g modems any more so would not have replaced with same anyway in a 4G area.
Apparently going onto the 4G network required a new contract
So I am stuck with them so they had better come out with a good package soon

So I checked Farmside, who are owned by Vodafone and use the same network. 120GB for $99.99 per month plus 50GB off peak! It seems ironic that their own subsidiary can do better than the owner. Just need to confirm the early termination charges to see if it's worth moving yet.

Hi there, yes we had a cardboard cutout promo placed in out letterbox with this offer from farmside.
Please have a look at my thread because I have just posed the response I received (via email) from Vodafone about this. I emailed them yesterday the same as what I posted in here. I think you will be very interested in the last point!

I would suggest taking a look at our website tomorrow for some new info regarding RBI Plans. Not much more I can say at this point.

Yes, all current 80gb plans will be automatically upgraded to 120gb on their next plan renewal date.
