why don't you just set your google account to backup all your contacts and when you setup your google account on your new phone they all magically appear.

or

samsung smart switch, a neat app that transfers all your stuff between phones using a direct wifi connection

Hi guys, here is a way to do it if you dont want o install apps.

If you have a SD card, then EXPORT contacts to your sD card, then put your SD card in your new phone and IMPORT it.

OR if you don't have an SD card:

EXPORT contacts to phone.  Then bluetooth that file to your new phone (and it will go to your bluetooth folder) then IMPORT it.  BOOM your contacts are there in a few seconds or a minute.

Hi Angela,

For safe and easy transfer, I suggest (like many others) to use your Google Account. Here are the steps:

  • Go to your phone's settings (if you don't see a shortcut on your home screen then you may find it in your "All" apps screen)
  • Scroll to the settings menu and select the tab that says Backup and reset.
  • Now make sure that the Backup my data tab is checked. (It must be checked, do so if it is not).
  • Lastly, pull down the notifications bar and select the Sync option from the quick menu.
  • Enable sync and your contacts get backed up. Source: How To Backup Contacts On Android

Alternatively, you can do the following as well,

  • Ensure that you have Gmail installed on your device.
  • Open the App Drawer and go to Settings, then go to ‘Accounts and Sync’.
  • Enable the Accounts and syncing service.
  • Select your Gmail account from the e-mail accounts set up.
  • Be sure to enable the ‘Sync Contacts’ option.
  • Press the ‘Sync now’ button and wait until all the phone contacts successfully synchronize with your Gmail account.
  • Now, open Gmail in your computer’s web browser and click the Gmail text link that is listed on the upper left side of the Gmail profile.
  • Select Contacts.
  • All the contacts from your Android smartphone appear in this section. Source: How To Import Contacts From Gmail To Android
