After my phone got updated to 6.0.1, for some reason the wifi on the phone started getting extremely slow, only about 100-200kbs download. The wifi itself is not the problem, since I can still get a stable 3mbs download on my laptop. The speed is fine when I switch to 4G. Is there any solution for this? Thanks.

Is this on going? If so, what's the make of the router or modem you're using? Have you tried turning the router off for 30 seconds and turning it back on to see if the speeds improve?

Hi, thread necro,
I just got a replacement ultra 6 and see the exact same issue.
I have two phones side by side on the same wifi and one (S4 mini) blitzes the ultra 6 (by the time ultra has hit 10 meg DL'd, the S4 Mini is 60Megs DL'd...

For future refernce, I factory reset and the update eventually applied itself again and the I don't see the issue this time around. Random!

hi if you were doing the test at the same time the results would be expected. Wi-Fi works as round robin and the router will talk to 1 device at a time.
you have to do it independently.
also your Wi-Fi is dependent on the amound of antennas in your phone and the noise levels around you.
Also the frequency your phones were connected on.
too many variables and unknowns to give you a proper answer.

Thanks for your answer,
I guess my troubleshooting/testing was quick and dirty. When I said side by side I was really meaning range wise. I did do the speed tests separately many times to see if it was an anomaly.
Chalk it up to android gremlins
