I have an older LG-E425f smartphone (purchased and unlocked from Skinny) with a Vodafone SIM card. Everything is working except I can't access the Internet with Vodafone mobile data. I can use my own home wireless network, but whenever I try to connect using Vodafone mobile data I get a "you are not connected" error message. I have done a factory reset with no success. Is there some setting deep in the bowels of the phone that I need to change?

You will need to ensure mobile data is enabled and also that the APN is set to vodafone.
The Access Point Name should simply be vodafone with no user name and password.
If it is still failing can you please click on my name and send me your mobile number.

APN says "wapaccess.co.nz", whatever that is. (This phone was originally purchased from Skinny.) Do I need to change this?

OK, I discovered wapaccess.co.nz is the default Skinny setting, which the phone must have defaulted to after the factory reset. I have changed this to "vodafone" and now the mobile data access is working properly. Thanks for the tip.
