Samsung Galaxy S2 setting up email account

I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 running Gingerbread (as it is a parrallel import I cannot upgrade to Jelly Bean) and I want to set it up to access my wave account. I get the error message invalid username or password when both are correct. How do I set it up?

Hi John,

Unfortunately as it is a parallel import phone, the csc code is taiwan so kies won't let me upgrade.

1) What's a Wave account?

2) How are you trying to access it?

Hi JJ

When you enter your user name are you doing your full wave email address? ......@wave.co.nz

@Tonyz wave is something Vodafone inherited not sure from where, think ihug

Have you tried using Samsung kies to update your handset? link provided below

 1. Wave is a Vodafone internet provide like ihug

2. I use the email function enter my email address JJ@wave.co.nz, my password and then select manual setup. I select POP3 account (pop3 server is pop3.wave.co.nz) click next then smtp server is smtp.wave.co.nz then hit next and it comes up with message unable to connect to server

You should be able to do a JB upgrade by downloading the appropriate stock firmware from Samfirmware and flashing with Odin.

At your own risk.
