Connection Problem with LG G5 to Vodafone Optic Fibre

Hi,

 

I have been using the LG G5 phone since March 2017 connecting to WiFi without any problem.  Since the WiFi has changed to optic fibre, I could not connect to WiFi anymore but kept switching it back to data.  When I switched off the mobile data on my phone, then there wouldn't be any network connection.  

 

My phone has no problem connecting to other WiFi when I am at friends' home.  

 

Please advise what is the specific settings with Vodafone optic fibre.

There are no specifc settings for our WiFi router, it works the same as any standard WiFi network.

 

Can you see the name of the network in your WiFi settings?

 

Does it give you an error message when you try to connect?

Thanks Sam.

 

Yes, I can see the network, and on and off it showed, 'Avoided poor internet connection' instead of 'Connected'.  There wasn't such problem before.

 

I googled it but couldn't find anywhere to turn off the setting to avoid poor connection or to switch to mobile data.  When I turned the data off then it simply had no network connection at all.

 

The temp solution is to tether my partner's wifi connection via bluetooth.
