Incorrect Roaming information

One week before I traveled to Taiwan, I looked up on the official VF website for the roaming rate for data for Taiwan- it states on your website that Taiwan is part of the Zone 2 for global roaming so I paid $50 for the 200MB data pack. I was so disappointed to find out when I arrived in Taiwan today Vodafone kindly told me Taiwan is NOT in part of the roaming zone so my $50 was wasted on NOTHING! 

I've been a loyal customer since 2003 and I can't believe how unreliable your website is! I want to know what solution you have for me before I take my business elsewhere.

Hi

 

Can confirm Taiwan is in the Zone 2 so you should be able to use this bundle you've purchased, in Taiwan.

 

Have you enabled the Data Roaming function on your handset?

 

If you are unable to sort it, call Tech Support and they will troubleshoot with you and log a fault if they can't get you up and running.

Yes I had my data roaming on when I first arrived in Taiwan, but the Vodafone app said "unforutanely Taiwa is not part of the roaming zone" or something along the line. I ended up using some data without the roaming pack, which could be very expensive as you know.

I'm not going to risk it again, so I'll only use Wi-Fi when I can and I'll get a local SIM card as well. 

As for contacting the technical support team, I don't want to waste 30 minutes on the phone while I'm on holiday- how can I get this cancelled and rerunded? Thanks.

You cannot use data without using the data pack...

 

If you were able to use mobile data then it will have been coming out of the bundle you purchased.

Are you sure Sebastian? If I turned on my global roaming now it'll just take out data from my data pack even though on my Vodafone app it says there is no roaming service in my location and that I cannot see that data bar to track how much I have used my data? 

I'm going to hold on to your words if you were 100% sure- I'll contact Vodafone and quote your name if I got charged any global roaming cost. Please confirm with me, thanks.
