Hi Fellows,

Im planning to buy a phone from China, Mi4 China Unicon 4g.

It claims to support FDD LTE band 3. At around 1710~1785MHz. 1805~1880MHz.

I wonder will it work in NZ? Vodafone's 4g is running at 1800mhz band 3.

Can anyone from Vodafone answear that?

Kind Regards

That phone *should* work on our 4G 1800MHz. You'll want to make sure that it works on our 3G 900MHz network too, and 2100MHz too would be good.

Hope that helps.

Hi @Dylan:

I did a brief research:
Looks like that when we talking about Band 3 1800mhz, we are generally refering frequencies close to 1800.

The actual frequencies for band 3 is:
1710~1785MHz. 1805~1880MHz

I think this is a very good answear compare to the two previouse answears from ChrisB1 and Lucas.

*Just saying no is not good enough.*

Hi, Thanks for replying.

Dose that mean you can only guarantee that handset that supports exectly 1800mhz FDD LTE will work ?

Hi @akua28 ,

As the phone is not sold or endorsed by Vodafone NZ we would not be comfortable making these guarantees for you.

I never said "no", I was simply trying to mention that we cannot guarantee that it'll work on the VFNZ network, being an overseas handset and not one sold by VFNZ.
