Hi there I am just woundering when 4g will cover most of waikato because here in Te Awamutu there is 4g to the north east and south within 20min drive and it is completly missing us so please get back to me please

The Kihikihi tower has 4G 700, this is an elvated tower and gives some coverage to Te Awamutu.

Hi Aidan, 4G on the 700 band is being rolled out nationwide. I would expect where you get 3G you'll also get 4G its just a matter of timing

I cant make that promise - 4G upgrades involve techs adding new hardware to sites and is happening nationwide. All I can say is it will come

Hi I recently got the Samsung S5 and in Te Awamutu there is no 4G right. Well when I turned it on and turned in my data I could pick up a signal of 4G 1 bar mabee 2 if I'm lucky I don't know how or why my phone is picking up a 4G signal if there is not meant to be one so please help me figure this out please

Hi @Aidanp,

 

As Nigel has mentioned before that we are trying to roll out 4G network nationwide, just a matter of time.

 

The reason why your mobile is picking up 4G signal is because there might be a tower nearby that has 4G. However keeping in mind it seems like that the tower is at a distance thats why you are getting 1 or 2 bars depending on the site traffic.
